Our guidance written by Tale of the Muse

Entrants send 20 pages of poetry by midnight on Tuesday 17 November 2026; the online form takes entries until 11:59pm that day. The full fee is £25, or £22 for the subscribers and members the page names, and the page sets 14 October 2026 as the last day for fee-waiver applications. Authors keep copyright, but the publisher reserves first UK publication of the collection for 12 months, and entries may also go to other competitions at the same time.

Our explanation of what the quoted terms mean for an entrant. It adds no facts of its own and is not advice about whether to enter.
